Clinical Placements
PsyGenics provides clinical interns with the opportunity to put theory into practice and gain the skills and confidence to meet the changing demands in behavioral health care. We address learning needs and professional development individually by providing experience across different populations, treatment modalities, levels of care, community outreach, leadership roles, and integrated health care. Clinical internships are offered to interns who are actively enrolled in an accredited program and must be affiliated with a school during the placement at PsyGenics.

• Clinical Mental Health
PsyGenics offers a variety of internships within the human services, counseling, social work and psychology fields of study. Internship position availability is based upon the needs of the programs at PsyGenics. Clinical internships require a minimum of 20 hours per week. During clinical internships, interns are expected to grow their knowledge and practice of clinical skills including clinical interviewing (biopsychosocial assessments), differential diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidenced-based interventions. All of these areas of clinical practice require a sensitivity to cultural, legal, and ethical factors.

As a participant in a non-clinical internship program, an intern will work on project-based assignments and will interact with internal and/or external business partners. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience that will prepare them for the next steps in their education and career. Most non-clinical internships require 20 hours per week, but this is flexible and depends upon the academic program requirements.

PsyGenics offers internship in various non-clinical departments across the organization, such as:
